This is our Mention award-winning entry to the national architecture competition for Gazi Baf Martyrs Memorial. Our design concept began with a concrete wall which represents the shield both sides have put up during the war. To represent peace and to look forward to the future, the wall twists to create a shelter where visitors from both sides are encouraged to meet. The surrounding landscape is organised around this sculptural piece to include a water fountain, seating areas, greenery and lighting.
